After seven years of working with our founder Glasgow Caledonian University, GCNYC has transferred to a new sole member, IE University, and has changed its name to IE New York College (IENYC). Globally renowned for social impact for business and ESG education, IE University and IENYC have complementary purposes with a focus on driving positive change through education, research, and innovation.
Established in 1973 as IE Business School, IE University is now recognized as one of the most innovative universities in the world according to international rankings. IE University promotes positive change through education, research, and innovation. The academic institution offers a technology-based learning ecosystem for leaders who make a difference in the world with global vision, an entrepreneurial mindset, respect for diversity and sustainability, and a unique focus on the humanities. The university comprises six schools with more than 500 professors who teach students from 130 countries. IE University’s platform of more than 82,000 alumni is present in 185 countries. IE University has had a long history of engagement with the business world and is a firm believer in the power of business to change the world for the better. They have been ranked by the Financial Times as 1st in the world in ESG and Net Zero Teaching, and they collaborate widely with the United Nations on the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
IE University and IE New York College are separate and distinct higher education institutions. While IEU is IENYC’s sole member, IENYC has a separate charter with the New York State Board of Regents to offer master’s degrees.
As IENYC’s sole member, IE University provides a number of services to the college to enhance the student experience. A list of these services, along with other third-party providers and services can be found here .
